V-Day, Every Day

Happy Valentines Day friends, Way before romance was cultivated by sliding into someone’s dm’s, in the 1980s my elementary school encouraged a similar mating ritual. Every Feb 14th, each student would cover a shoebox with construction paper and heart doilies and our names in glitter glue, creating a scissor slot at the top, where our friends and (hopefully) crushes would slide in valentines.
